Over at LivingSims Forum we have a running challenge called Challenge me to, where we challenge each other to different things that we think the other person would find challenging and fun. catvonpaxton challenged me to decorate a little holiday home with a very shabby chic style. I of course could do nothing less then go all out and get one of my sims to get to visa level 3 so that should could buy a real holiday home in France.

Timony Roberts is an interior designer. He live together with his two children Kai and Mary – their mother died then they were small in an accident at the science building – it was all very hush hush but he did gather that it involved robot fishes somehow.
Timony actually just want to work on his hopefully some day perfect garden, but he can no longer bring him self to work in the science carer any more. But he have to feed his kids and he always had an eye for color, so he toke up interior designing. That way he can work out of his home.
I will show you some pictures from his life and his makeovers. I hope you enjoy them. I have so much fun making over the EA houses in Twinbrokes.

In Riverview there lives a man who nobody really knows a lot about and they don’t really knows where he lives. Some says that he is a vampire and drink young women’s blood… others says that he takes their virtue… others again says that he just likes to party. But why then do you never see him in the day or ever see him eat?

Aron is a young punk Rocker in Riverview. A year back he brought an old motor garage behind the business building. The place was small and run down, but fitted his needs and was quite cheap (5000 §) so it was a perfect place to move into then you just moved out from your mom’s place. He wants to become a Rock Legend some day – sooner rather then later would be nice… He is quite a slob, but is a very talented musician! As you will see he is a bit of a charming flirt as well and never backs down from a challenge – some would even call him a dare-devil! Don’t get on his bad site because he hot-head!
See more him and his rather cool destressed urban home

As you might have guessed, Jamie and Amanda Fischer are very much in love. They got married a few month back and bought the house together. Now Amanda thinks she might be expecting a bundle of joy.
Amanda is very artistic and she loves to do little DIY projects like making over an old dated chest of drawers in vibrant colours. She is very much in touch with her inner child. There is nothing she loves more than reading a good book, cocoa and a cookie. Amanda is aspiring to become a known children’s book author some day, so she practices her writing and drawing skills whenever she gets a chance. She just adores hot pink and indie rock. Amanda’s childish side really compliments Jamie’s sense of humour. He believes that a house needs personality and things that makes you smile. Jamie is a really smooth guy with tons of charisma and he loves to party. His friends are really important to him, so even though he might be starting a family now – there has to be room for his friends. That is not to say that he isn’t family orientated, because he is – very much in fact. He can’t wait to see his babies all over the house – just think of the birthdays he can host for them! Jamie’s favourite colour is turquoise.

I have been decorating the Hive B-line house for the challenge Make it Your Home and I thought I would share the pictures with you.
In my house the twins share a room and the downstairs spare room has been turned into the family study, where you can shot the door and concentrate on what-ever project you are into at the time.
Natalie ended up taking more of the decisions in the shared twin bedroom because Nicole just couldn’t keep her head in the game long enough to help pick out anything. Then they visited the furniture store to pick out the furniture for the girl’s room Patrick had to spend half the time making sure Nicole didn’t clime anything. So in other words Natalie’s taste dominate the twins’ room.

When sims move in to their first home they have very little money, even fewer if they move out from their parents into their first home (at least if you have a hack that only give them their share of the money), so I though I might share some of my ideas for small starter home, you will find them here. I will try to add a little comment to each picture, so you can see what the idea was with this shot.

This is another room from the same house – I really liked the colours and thought some of you might want to use something like that.
Greens: #aecba5 • #acc67c
Yellow: # deab3c
Very pale green: #dedfc1

Because of the way sims 3’s recolour system works, there isn’t much idea in recolouring objects for you, but I can share my colour pallets with you and I plan to do so. I hope you will find it inspiring. The game let you set colours of almost anything to hex colours – I will explain how in a tutorial in the future.
Reds: #673833 • #e78072 • #500901 • #8f1a0c
Goldens: #c76112 • #bf760f
Try to use them in a room and tell me how you like the resault.

Inspired by the diy ideas on DesignSponge I have made-over a factory line dresser. It was pretty standard and boring. I brought it to life with a bit of blue effect paint. The paint is a basegame pattern found under paint.
