Then you have the amount of download I have collection folders is a must! Otherwise it would take me hours just to finish a small simple room. With collection folders I can find that particallar cup of coffee I am looking for within seconds. I properly have around 30 active collections + the ones I get with sets, which I normally keep – though I do tend to sort the things into creators instead of sets.

The only problem with collections is that they take a long time to set up – we are talking hours, but once they are up they save so much time and they are fairly easy to maintain – just make sure to put the new stuff into the collections right away then you add new stuff to your game. What I do is that I have date folders referring to the date I installed something. Then I have a new batch of downloads I start the game up with just my collections, nhood deco (I only have one hood and if I don’t have that i the game I need to redecorate my nhood next time I fire up the game) and the folder with the new downloads. That way I get the new downloads tested – make sure nothing crashes And I get a chance to easierly find the new stuff and get it into collections.

One thing that do make the process a lot better and easier to work with is some good costume icons for the collections. A number of people made some good sets, but I am particlary found of Loverat’s set: Descriptive Collection Icon Pack. You should really try it is such a time saver.

As many other I got the newest and greatest extension to sims 2 yesterday – the new OMSP by SilentLucidity. I am already in love wth them! I can now place toy laying on it’s side on the floor or put that perfect flower on any self or prep my diner on my endtable if I want! It is just amazing. The only problem is there is so amazingly many files, so it can be hard to find the one you need. So I made five collection folders with each of the types of slots. One to backward, forward, right and left angled ones. And one for the rest of the special omsp. The collection folders are sorted so everything is in the right order for more convinent.
