Cold Potato Salad

This classic pot-lot dish is perfect for a hot summer day. It keeps a few days in the fridge.

This is not so much a recipe as inspiration. I am not adding quantities because it really depend on how strong you like it.

Depending on how many potatoes and your own taste you will need different amounts of ingredients. I like to have enough dressing to have the potatoes slightly covered.

  • Prep Time: 10m
  • Cook Time: 1h
  • Total Time: 1h 10m

  • Cold boiled potatoes (with or without peel)
  • Chopped raw onion
  • Creme fraiche
  • A yoghurt product (yogurt, sour milk, curds)

Herbs and spices

    1. Slice the potatoes into one bowl
    2. Mix the other ingredients in another bowl. Keep tasting it as you add a bit of each spice. Add a bit of everything,
    3. Taste and when add some more of the species until you like the taste. Make sure it taste more strongly than you would want to eat it alone - the potatoes will steal a lot of the flavour.
    4. Carefully mix the potatoes with the spice and yoghurt mix
    5. Let it rest for at least one hour
